Casitas / Rooms Tax Exemption - (DL 919)Non-residents in Peru - Peruvian or foreign guests, who have remained for a maximum of (60) sixty consecutive days within the country, are considered as non-residents and may be exempted from the payment of some local sales taxes (IGV or VAT) – accommodation and meals taken in hotels -. In order to be exempted from this tax, each non-resident guest must present his (her) original passport and Andean Immigration Card upon check-in at our hotels for verification and photo-copy. Due to legal restrictions, photocopies of these documents will not be accepted. In the case that a guest does not present the required documentation to prove his (her) non-residence, the local tax will be charged directly to his (her) account.
